CRIMESTOPPERS: Street Sweep aims to arrest criminals today

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY, GA - (WALB) -

WALB News 10 will broadcast our second CRIMESTOPPERS Street Sweep Monday, working together to lock up wanted fugitives.

We'll team with CRIME STOPPERS and law enforcement agencies in Dougherty, Lee, and Worth Counties.

During First News At Five and WALB News 10 at Six, we'll show you pictures of South Georgia's top 25 most wanted and have operators ready to take your calls with information on them.

Warrant teams of officers will respond to sweep these fugitives off our streets.

Albany Police Chief John Proctor said, "We think it is great thing that WALB is doing. We see that it allows us to take folk off the street that pose a danger to this community. So we're all in."

Be sure to watch Monday evening for your chance to earn a reward by getting fugitives off the streets.
