The Albany Police Gang Unit is inviting families to their Parent Youth Summit Saturday. They want to help families with troubled kids.
The Summit will be held at the Albany Civic Center from 10 to noon for parents, and from noon to 4 for youth. Gang unit officers and mentors will give guidance to parents and teens on dealing with issues such as gangs, crime, and bullying.
Albany Police Gang Unit Commander Captain Wendy Luster said "Because the parents have had so many questions for us about what to do with their children. So this is a great opportunity for them to come out and get all the information they need tomorrow."
There is no cost, and Albany Police encourage the public to attend.
