The Junior League of Albany handed out thousands of dollars to community organizations that serve children Thursday.
They presented checks to the Lily Pad Center and Children's Miracle Network Tonight's donations totaled more than $20,000.
"It is great, we have two primary fundraiser's, we did our boot shoot and bogey skeet shooting fundraiser and then we did our attic sale in the spring," said President Lisa Cronlund. "To be a group of only about 70 members and raise that kind of money really feels good that we are able to give that much back to the community."
The Junior League celebrated its 50th anniversary at its annual dinner.
