JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Four-year-old Ashtyn Mitchell, who was pulled from the rubble 20 minutes after the EF4 tornado touched down in Louisville, is improving.

Her condition has been updated from critical to serious at Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital.

Ashtyn was one of two at Ruth's Daycare Center when the tornado hit. The owner, Ruth Bennett, died while trying to get the two to a nearby shelter.

Ashtyn suffered a broken leg and liver damage.
