MILLER CO., GA (WALB) -

People want to taste some good Mayhaw Jelly at a Miller County festival will have to wait a few more days.

Parts of Spring Creek Park in Colquitt remain covered in water.  That's where the 31st Mayhaw Festival will be held.  It was originally scheduled for April 18th and 19th.  Now organizers have rescheduled it for next weekend. Organizers say the festival provides a big economic boost for the community and postponing it has been a nightmare.

"We had to notify every 5k runner, we notified every registered vendor, food and arts and crafts, and we had to notify everybody that had signed up to be in the parade," said Veryl Garland.

The Mayhaw Festival will take place May 9th and 10th at Spring Creek Park. You can keep up with the latest details on the festival by clicking here.
