Rashawn Sirmans, 24, of Stockton, was arrested in Clinch Co. for burglary in Echols County, and is now in the Lowndes Co. jail.
Tuesday, afternoon an Echols Co. resident saw a strange car sitting in the driveway, and saw Sirmans coming out of the carport door.
The homeowner was able to grab a Mossberg .22 rifle out of Sirmans' back seat, before Sirmans could get away.
Clinch County deputies spotted Sirmans on Hwy 187 near Homerville. Sirmans threw a stolen pistol out of his window before they caught him.
He faces charges of Felony Burglary, Felony Theft by receiving a Stolen Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Sirmans faces pending Felony charges in Clinch and Lanier Counties also.
Sheriff Randy Courson would like to thank the Clinch County Sheriff's Office for the apprehension of Sirmans and assistance provided in this case.
