Reward Offered in Tifton Shooting

Tifton Police are now offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who shot a woman Monday night.

Police believe Angela Downs was the intended target of the shooting at the Brookfield Mews Apartments just after 10:00.

Several cars in the parking lot had also been shot up. Downs was treated at Tift Regional for her injuries and then sent home.

In offering the reward, Tifton Police say the city has seen a drastic increase in gang related violence that the Department wants to end.

One way Tifton Police are looking to do that is to improve communications and cooperation with citizens in the community.
