KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) - Police: Gunman at Georgia FedEx location had explosive devices but they weren't used.
Police and witnesses say a FedEx employee wearing ammunition draped across his chest "like Rambo" opened fire Tuesday at a package-sorting center outside Atlanta, wounding six people before apparently committing suicide.
Three of the wounded were hospitalized in critical condition, including two who were in surgery with life-threatening injuries.
Dr. Michael Nitzken of Wellstar Kennestone Hospital told reporters at a news conference that the victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds that were consistent with shotgun blasts.
Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce said the gunman, who was found dead inside the sprawling facility, worked for FedEx as a package handler.
