MITCHELL CO., GA (WALB) -

Two men are behind bars after invading a Mitchell County man's home and beating him up.

The Mitchell County Sheriff's office says 18-year-old Lorenzo Church of Camilla and 19-year-old Quenterrius Jasper of Pelham entered 56 year old Ardemis Wesley's home on Wade Road in Pelham around nine Saturday morning.

The two men beat up Wesley, leaving him with a broken left leg and stealing several items from his house. Wesley eventually got help from a neighbor.

Deputies tracked the suspects and found them traveling in a red Honda on Highway 93.

" Once the deputies arrived on the scene there. They were able to gather a description of the vehicle. A lookout was given. Local law enforcement in Pelham were able to stop the vehicle," says investigator Robert Rumble, with the Mitchell County Sheriff's office.

Wesley remains in good condition at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. The two men are charged with burglary, robbery, and assault.

Church will face an additional charge for wearing a mask.
