ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany State University is working to bring in a new crop of graduate students. The university held a forum on campus Thursday for prospective students.

They learned about the graduate programs available at ASU and the benefits of getting a master's degree.

"With our education program which is a very popular program, our nursing program, I know with the school system here and the local medical facilities, its very important and very beneficial for individuals pursuing those careers to take advantage of those programs that we offer here," said graduate program administration assistant Jeffrey Pierce.

600 students are enrolled in graduate programs at Albany State.
