MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - One gem of Moultrie that's continuing to grow is the Colquitt County Arts Center. The center, which has won several awards is a visual and performing arts facility.
Fifteen to 20 instructors teach music, theatre and dance. That's in addition to the exhibitions and collections on display.
The center has also expanded their relationships within the community.
"Probably our most important stride in the last 10 years is the partnerships that we've developed. Because we currently partner with the board of education, the housing authority, the YMCA, United Way," said Visual Arts Director Jane Simpson.
First through fifth graders in Colquitt County also use the center for music and art education.
Organizers say one of their goals this year is to get the arts vocabulary out to the public.
