Folks can learn more about historic downtown Albany through a new tour.
May is National Historic Preservation Month and to celebrate the city of Albany is offering the 100 block historic and food tour Friday, May 9th.
Participants will walk the 100 block of Front Street, Pine Avenue, Washington Street and Broad Avenue, making stops in stores, restaurants and historic spots.
"For us, it's a marketing opportunity. And also, for some of the citizens that maybe don't know much about downtown or about the history of downtown, they'll get a little bit of information about it," said Aaron Blair, the downtown manager.
The tour which is May 9th from 6pm to 8pm, is $10 a person, that includes food. It's limited to 30 participants. If you would like to register, call 229-438-3999.
