Dispose of Prescription drugs during Take-Back Day
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is this weekend.
People can safely dispose of expired, unwanted prescription drugs and medicines.
Several law enforcement agencies and pharmacies in South Georgia will have boxes setup for drop offs.
The Take-Back Day is meant to prevent pill abuse by throwing away potentially dangerous prescription drugs.
"Children, animals can find old bottles. You can find old bottles that you're not sure what it is used for take it and it can be very dangerous. I would encourage anyone going through their medicine cabinets, cleaning them out," said Alison Weldon
