COLQUITT CO., GA (WALB) -

A retiring south Georgia county clerk says she has seen huge changes in technology during her career.

Deborah Murkerson has worked as the County Clerk and HR Director for 31 years and remembers when county offices didn't even have computers.

She was there to see the historic courthouse renovated and the courthouse annex built.

"We had one copier for the whole court house, the sheriff's office, the clerk of court, the DA's office, the superior court, everyone was in the court house. And then it evolved to where certain offices moved out to the county governmental building," says Deborah Murkerson.

Murkerson is moving to Blakely where her husband is serving as a pastor at the First Assembly of God church.
