Mall shooting victim dies; suspect found dead

MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Two people are now dead after a shooting yesterday at a suburban Atlanta mall.

55-year-old Violet Lambert of Atlanta died at a hospital. Witnesses say she had been shot in the eye.

Police say that a short time later, they found a white van they had been seeking at a home in East Point, just south of Atlanta.

Police say the suspect, 59-year-old Danny Wray Brown of East Point, was found at the home dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Marietta Daily Journal reports ( http://bit.ly/1kWgC6H ) that the gunman fired a shot at a bystander who tried to help the woman shortly after 2 p.m.

Police said the shooting happened during some type of confrontation between the man and the woman.
