Men burglarize defunct Holley School

Sylvester Police arrested two men for stealing items from a Sylvester school that closed several years ago.

Lt. Ronnie Graddy of the Sylvester Police Department says that late Friday afternoon, Lt. Tracy Jones noticed a red pick-up truck backed up to the old Holley Elementary School building, on Carter Road in Sylvester.

Jones found Williams John Thompson, 35, of Albany, and William Bryant Collins, 34, also of Albany,  inside the building.

They were  removing items from the old school and loading them into the bed of their pick-up truck.  Jones arrested both men, and charged them with Burglary in the second degree, and took them to the Worth County Jail.

All items were recovered and returned on the scene to the Worth County school system.
