A Thomasville woman is celebrating her 100th birthday.

Irene Manning celebrates her 100th Birthday today. Friends and family threw her a birthday party at Cherokee Lake in Thomasville. Her grandson says she's in great health.

"When she hit 90, it was like man she might make it to 100. Every year everybody has been kind of hoping. Her health is great, she lives at home on her own, her mind is awesome and she can remember everything. It's just great that she made it to 100," said Brett Manning.

Two of Manning's six children are still living. She also has more than 35 grandchildren.
