ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The English Honor Society at Deerfield-Windsor School is an official "book giver" for World Book Night, which is April 23.

World Book Night is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to spreading the love of reading, person to person.

Each year on "World Book Night",  the thousands of volunteers throughout the country who have been accepted as official book givers go out into their communities and give away books that are donated by publishers  to light and non-readers.

DW's Honor Society is excited to have been accepted as an official book giver this year, and intends to grow the program in Albany. They hope that others will apply to be book givers, as well.

The more people and organizations who are accepted as book givers in the future, the more we can blanket our community with book, says DW.
