ASHBURN, GA (WALB) -

Ashton Kutcher, one of the world's top TV stars, stopped to ponder Georgia's official Peanut Statue in Ashburn.

His selfie, showing himself and his fiancé, Mila Kunis, appreciating the structure, has circled the globe.

The Mail Online ran a story featuring the picture that Kutcher posted on Instagram.

The pair posed with inquisitive looks toward the "Georgia 1st in Peanuts" monument.

"I guess they know where it's at," said Rachel Borr.

We caught up with another pair of tourists from Grand Rapids, Michigan who also stopped to see what Ashburn was all about. "We are just driving back up I-75 and we're going to stop anywhere that we see looks like something cool to see," said Borr.

The Instagram picture made it on the Daily Mail website in the UK, and swept social media platforms. It triggered a series of selfies outside the monument Thursday.

"We can probably take our photo by the peanut the same way and generate some buzz or something," said Ryan Barnes.

The Chamber of Commerce say they're glad Ashburn was on their list to visit the local attraction.

"There's no doubt that there would be people stopping, that never stopped before all because Ashton Kutcher stopped," said Michael Geoghagan of the Chamber.

And they say it's always a boost to their economy when they get some international recognition.

"He's out on Facebook and the internet coming out, it's good for us. It really is. It appears he enjoyed his trip," said Geoghagan.

So far, Kutcher's picture on Instagram has more than 12,000  likes.

Kutcher may be the biggest name to show off the display, which has been right there beside I-75 at Ashburn for almost four decades.
