ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Dougherty County Sheriff's Office youth intervention program will be featured on A & E's "Beyond Scared Straight" for a second time Thursday.

An initial appearance in November got a lot of attention.

Deputies say they constantly get requests to mentor youth but they don't stop with kids.

"We intervene with the parents, because we have to fix the entire family structure in order to bring a message,"  said Lieutenant Terron Hayes. "To get a message across to these young people."

The Sheriff's office has operating intervention programs for kids for more than 15-plus.
