Albany Baptist Ministers' Conference to hold communion & Good Friday services

FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) -

Members of the Albany Baptist Ministers' Conference are inviting the public to their 2014 Pre-Easter Services.

On Thursday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m., the Communion Services "In Remembrance…" will be held at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 901 Westover Blvd., where Reverend Dr. Daniel Simmons is pastor. The message will be delivered by the Reverend Henry Flowers, pastor of First African Baptist Church of Bainbridge.

Good Friday, also known as Holy Friday is a religious holiday observed primarily by Christians commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His death.

The Good Friday Services will be held on April 18 at 11:45 a.m. at the same location. The message will be delivered by the Pastor B.R. Fulton, of Tampa, FL.

Ministers are requested to wear a black robe. Deacons are requested to wear a black suit; and ministers' wives, and deaconesses are requested to wear a white dress.

The Albany Baptist Ministers Conference meets on Tuesdays, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cutliff Grove Missionary Baptist Church located at 512 Corn Ave.
