Willanne Thacker Willanne Thacker

The statewide back-to-school and appliance tax-free holiday weekends is extended for two more years. The bill was signed Monday by Governor Nathan Deal.

The back to school tax free holiday will save residents $150 million and the energy efficient household appliance over $2 million.

"I think that's an excellent idea. It would be very beneficial for the parents with multiple kids. I have a 17 year old with High School technology," said Willanne Thacker.

The back to school tax free holiday is August 1st and 2nd.

The energy efficient household appliance tax holiday is October 3rd through the 5th.
