Posted: Updated:

Members of the Albany Chapter of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority were vying for the title of Miss Jabberwock and little Miss Jabberwock on Saturday.

Its part of a fund raising contest the organization holds each year.

The proceeds help the sorority provide mentoring programs in the community.

"Anytime you can mentor to young people, and that's what we are about...being positive in our community, as well as with our young people. So its extremely important that we show leadership and mentor to them so they can have a lot to offer society as well," says Shirley Brown, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Alumni President.

Kassidy Johnson was crowned little Miss Jabberwock and Olivia Charles was crowned Miss Jabberwock.
