ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The State Theatre in downtown Albany was packed Friday night with a sellout crowd. Fans enjoyed performances by Highway 55 and Cole Swindell.

Swindell is from Terrell County and is making a name for himself in Nashville now.

One of his old classmates was glad to get to see him perform back here at home. Jake Smith said, "We just came out to support the hometown boy. You know, Cole's a local guy like Luke Bryan, so we want to do what we can to support the hometown community, and we're big country music fans."

Swindell's debut single, "Chillin' It," went to number one on the Billboard country chart.
