Chase suspect granted bond

NASHVILLE, GA (WALB) -

A Tift County man charged with killing two people during a high speed chase five months ago is still in jail but he could now go free if he comes up with bond money.

Tim Rutland was granted a $150,000 bond when was transferred to the Berrien County Jail Wednesday.

Rutland is charged with multiple crimes.

The charges include two counts of felony vehicular homicide.

32-year old Kelly Prescott and her brother 23-year old Matt Horton were killed last November when Rutland slammed into their SUV in Nashville during a chase that started in Tift County.
