A popular summer paddling event has sparked another adventure this fall.

Hundreds of paddlers participate in Paddle Georgia each year in June. Because of the strong response, Paddle Georgia has teamed up with Flint Riverkeeper to host Fall Float on the Flint.

The four day journey is Columbus day weekend, October 10th through 13th, and includes paddling and camping.

"Lots of folks are excited. The Flint is a unique adventure, it's a beautiful river, it's full of history, it's full of science, it's got blue holes, lots of springs.  So just a really great time and again a memory maker for families," said Jayme Smith, the Flint Riverkeeper Director of Development and Outreach.

Registration for the 175 spots opens Tuesday, April 15th. Fees are $200 for adults, $155 for children ages 8-17 and $15 for children 7 and younger.
