Lobraico's family, assisted by some Airmen, unveil the monument
VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -
A fallen Moody Airman now has a tree and a monument in his honor at Moody Air Force Base.
Members of T.J. Lobraico's family, along with Airmen from Moody, unveiled the monument today and dedicated the tree.
Lobraico was killed in an attack in Afghanistan last September 5th.
"It's the best way to remember his memory, it really is," said Senior Airman Charles Valcarcel, who served with Lobraico in Afghanistan. "It makes me feel good that I am able to walk to work every day and remember him; start off the day right, kind of like a cup of coffee, you know? Off to work, remember T.J. For all the good things that he did."
Another Moody Airman, Bernard Chavis, who was killed on October 14, 2006, also has a monument and a tree in his honor at the base.
