ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Dougherty County Sheriff's Investigators heard from dozens of victims after we aired a story two weeks ago, about an Albany man charged with making scam phone calls.

26-year-old Kevin Jackson is charged with 51 felony counts of forgery, financial transaction card fraud, and theft.

Investigators say Jackson called people claiming to be from Water Gas and Light, Mediacom, or AT&T, and told them they had to give him their credit card information or their service would be cut off.

"We actually, probably have somewhere in the vicinity of about 20 to 25 victims right now. And I believe that's where that is going to be limited with him.  He maybe part of another, much larger group," said Captain Craig Dodd of the Dougherty Co. Sheriff's Office.

Investigators from Water, Gas, and Light and Mediacom are assisting the sheriff's office as they look for more scammers and victims.

If you have any information, call the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office at 431-3222.
