LAKE PARK, GA (WALB) -

A Valdosta man is behind bars tonight after a month on the run.

31 year-old Kenneth Lee Horton was arrested at a home in the 5000 block of Cannon Drive in Lake Park during a stakeout Monday.

He's accused of shooting at a man on Ponderosa Drive on March 7th. Lowndes County Sheriff's Deputies watched the home for about 45 minutes before making the arrest.

"They were able to locate him at a residence and put 'em under surveillance to make sure there were no children at the house or anything and then, of course, executed the search warrant," explained Lowndes County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy, Joe Crow.

Horton is in the Lowndes county Jail charged with aggravated assault.
