LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -

Students at Twin Oaks Elementary in Leesburg wore their team baseball shirts or Jerseys in memory of Kristian Bush after he died over the weekend.

Students at other schools including Lee County High and Deerfield also wore their team shirts. 10-year-old Kristian was a member of the Marlins and wore number 56.

"He was they very first one to beg to get in the game," said Coach Geoffrey Shipley. "If he had to sit one inning, he was the first one to say 'I'm coming back in next inning right coach?' So he always had a smile on his face."

His funeral was held Wednesday afternoon. Bush died Saturday in a crash in Grady County that seriously injured his mother and two siblings.
