OCILLA, GA (WALB) -

We now know the name of a teen who was arrested after police say he brought a gun to the campus of Irwin County High School, prompting a lockdown.

Police say 17-year-old Dustin Kidd had two knives and ammunition on him when he was confronted by a teacher Tuesday morning at the school in Ocilla.

Officers searched his car and found a 9 mm pistol and a single shot rifle with a scope.

Kidd was a former student at the school, but recently withdrew for homeschool study.

Several law enforcement agencies searched the school and found no weapons on the campus.

Kidd is being held in the Irwin County Detention Center. He is charged with possessing weapons on a school campus, possession of a weapon under the age of 18, and disrupting operations of a public school.
