Carol Fullerton wants to restore money local governments have lost in recent years due to state budget cuts
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Albany state representative Carol Fullerton hopes to win a fourth term in Atlanta. Fullerton kicked off her re-election campaign for a fourth term Tuesday.
She is running on her record of road improvements and her commitment to get a Fine Arts Center at Albany State in next year's budget. She also wants to restore money local governments have lost in recent years due to state budget cuts.
"Fees for license plates and other things like that are handled by city and county. We took those away from them. They had to find other ways to balance their budgets. I would like to be able to get some that back," said Fullerton.
School board member Darrel Ealum and former county commissioner Muarlene Edwards are challenging Fullerton in the Democratic primary on May 20th.
