Albany State Police and the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority are dispensing candy to drivers who pass through their main college campus.
The kind you get depends on whether you are wearing your seat belt or not. If you are belted, you get free Lifesavers candy.
If not, you get a Dum-Dum.
The purpose of the event is to make all drivers who travel onto the ASU campus aware of the need for everyone to wear a seat belt in the car.
So far, it appears that more Lifesavers than Dum-Dums are being dispensed.
