ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany organization is encouraging everyone to get out and vote.

Members of the Albany Community Builders stood at the intersection of Slappey Blvd and Third Avenue today holding signs encouraging people to register to vote. They also held a yard sale and fish fry. They say voting allows you to hold elected officials accountable for their actions.

"We're not advocating anyone that you should vote for, but we just trying to advocate that you should get out and vote. Yes we want all generations to get out. If you are old enough, and you're registered or if you're not registered, we are advocating that you get registered to vote," said Aaron Brookins.

The Albany Community Builders started in 2010.
