SUMNER, GA (WALB) -

People came together tonight in Worth County to help a 2-year old girl who lost her father.

Friends organized a memorial-benefit Team Roping event tonight at the Bowlegs Arena for Adalynn Williams. Her father Jake Williams who was killed in a crash on January 14th on Highway 112 in Shingler.

"It's a great tragedy for this community," said family friend Marilynn Mims. "This is just the community and family pulling together, friends and trying to do what's right for one of our friends and neighbors."

The event continues tomorrow with Barrel Racing.
