LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Two months after a fire severely damaged the Double Gate EE-ZZ Mart in Lee County, the convenience store reopened Friday morning.

A spark from a welding torch ignited the fire. The owners had to renovate the entire interior and completely restock the store. They were happy finally to get back in business.

"We were really not going to open up until late morning but they came in even when the lights not on outside," owner Marilyn Bullington said. "So we finally flipped on the lights and our Subway girls were swamped at lunchtime, so its been a great, great opening day."

Bullington says the store will hold a grand re-opening next month.
