WORTH CO., GA (WALB) -

The Worth CountySheriff's Office hired an officer to keep up with sex offenders.

Sheriff Jeff Hobby says that officer needs some space. He says hisdepartment already works in tight quarters, so he asked the county commissionfor extra space the officer can use to keep track of the county's 80 registeredsex offenders.

Sheriff Hobby says it's a full time job.

"She works outof a notebook right now. We're going to have her in an office with the ChiefDeputy and I have a secretary in the office that helps her. My officer she'sgot to go around and check on all of them at least once a month  to make sure they are doing what they aredoing what they are supposed to," said Sheriff Jeff Hobby.

The office willbe in the courthouse annex next door to the Sheriff's office.
