The new president of the University of Georgia got a first-hand look at his university's campus in south Georgia Wednesday.
Dr. Jere Morehead toured the UGA Tifton campus and met with faculty, staff, and students. He also spoke to the Rotary Club about the economic impact of the University.
The president also spent time finding out how the Tifton campus can improve.
"We're pleased that some renovation work is going to get underway at this May on one of the historic buildings on the campus and we also review some of the other facilities at the Tifton campus that we want to propose for renovations in the future. "
This was Morehead's first visit to the Tifton campus since he became president last year.
