CHATTAHOOCHEE COUNTY, GA (WTVM) -

A woman who left her 2013 Dodge Dart out of gear at the top of a boat ramp turned around to see it rolling into the Chattahoochee River.

Multiple calls came in shortly after 7 p.m. Monday night that a car with someone inside of it went into the river at River Bend Park. Emergency crews from multiple counties responded to the incident. However, no one was actually inside the car.

Chattahoochee County Fire Chief Johnny Floyd says, "She was at the top of the boat ramp and got out of the vehicle to use the restroom. Left it out of gear and she turned around and saw the car rolling off."

Columbus Fire and EMS will send a dive team into the river to put hooks on the car. Cussetta Auto Salvage will actually pull the car out.

Stewart and Webster County EMS also helped with the recovery efforts.
