ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Southwest Georgia bikers united to remember a fallen police officer.

Sixty bikers rode more than 60 miles for the fourth annual Lieutenant Cliff Rouse Memorial Ride. They rode through Dougherty, Calhoun and Baker County. The event remembers Dougherty County Police Lieutenant Cliff Rouse who was shot and killed while responding to an armed robbery in December of 2010.

"Let the family and community know that Cliff Rouse was a true hero and that he'll never be forgotten. He's not still with us but the memory will never go away," said Don Cheek.

"It's a very humbling experience, it's very exciting to know that he has made an impact on this community," said Jackie Rouse.

Proceeds from the ride benefit the Georgia C.O.P.S. Foundation, which works with families of officers killed in the line of duty.
