New film in South Georgia to feature pro wrestling stars
Sycamore Mayor Wayne Woodruff
SYCAMORE, GA (WALB) -
A new movie is being filmed in south Georgia.
Crews filmed scenes for 'Suplex' in the Sycamore City Park this week.
The mayor says the production team plans to return to film more scenes in the park.
It's about an IT guy that loses his job and decides to get a career in professional wrestling. It's supposed to be a comedy-drama type deal," said Mayor Wayne Woodruff. "And we were ticked to death they choose our park to come and film in."
Producers say the movie will feature cameos from several current and former pro wrestling stars.
