ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Dougherty County school board members will pick a permanent Superintendent in less than two weeks.

A meeting has been scheduled for April 7th to vote on the two finalists. They are Interim Superintendent Dr. David Mosley and Colquitt County Superintendent Dr. Samuel DePaul.

Board members reviewed 24 applications before narrowing it down to these two.

"I've delivered. I've done what I said I would do and again, it's with help, but we have carried the ball and we made progress and we'll continue to make progress with good leadership," said Mosely. "It doesn't necessarily have to be me, but it has to be a good leader."

Mosely took over in January of last year after former Superintendent Dr. Joshua Murfree was released from his contract in a mutual agreement with the board.

Dr. DePaul did not return requests for an interview.
