Do you ever worry about safety while withdrawing money out of an ATM? One Police department says they have solved that problem for you.
This may be the safest place you can withdraw money. It's a new automated teller machine in the lobby of the Albany Law Enforcement Center.
Since the department doesn't accept debit or credit cards, they decided to install the ATM.
Anyone can use it, but it may be especially helpful for people who need to pay for reports or do other business at the department.
"So an individual who may come in with a debit card but need to pay cash for a particular incident report can use the ATM to get the cash they need, instead of trying to search for a bank around town," said APD Media Manager Phyllis Banks.
There is a fee of $2.50 to use the ATM, but it's available 24-hours a day. Money Tree is the vender that provided the ATM to the Albany Police Department, free of charge.
