City truck collides with SUV

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A Ford bucket truck belonging to Traffic Engineering Dept. of the City of Albany collided with a black Ford Explorer driven by Miriam Parks this morning about 10:30, at the intersection of Highland Avenue and South Jefferson Street.This is a block south of Oglethorpe Boulevard.

Curtis Jackson, age 47, was driving the city truck when he was struck by Parks, who was traveling north on South Jefferson Street.

APD says she ran the red light and collided with Jackson, who was traveling east on West Highland. Jackson had the green light.

Both vehicles came to rest on the sidewalk after impact.

Parks and Jackson were both transported to the hospital for minor injuries. Parks was cited with a Red Light Violation.
