ASU takes advantage of VSU mistakes

Albany State scored six runs on five Valdosta State errors to knock off the Blazers, 7-4, Tuesday in Albany.

Reise McDaniel gave the Rams the lead for good with a bases-clearing double in the 4th to break a 3-3 tie.

McDaniel finished 2-3 with three RBI and two runs scored to lead the Rams offensively.

Jared Arrington picked up the win for ASU, while VSU's Ethan Bornstein took the hard luck loss.

Bornstein went 2.2 innings without giving up a hit or earned run for the Blazers.

Albany State travels to Morehouse for a three-game series this weekend, while the Blazers head to Augusta for a Wednesday showdown with Georgia Regents.
