DOUGLAS, GA (WALB) -

A Bike, Blues and BBQ festival kicks off in Douglas this weekend.

The family event will have blues music, a barbeque competition, a pony ride and petting zoo, along with other attractions.

"[We're] hoping it will be a great event," said Mayor James Dennis. Hoping everybody comes out and enjoy it and has a good time. Eat some barbeque, see some old WWII vintage planes.

Gates open at 1 p.m. Friday, March 28th and 9 p.m. Saturday, March 29th.

 The Bikes, Blues and BBQ Festival is happening at the Douglas Municipal Gene Chambers Airport on 441 South.
