ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Hundreds turned out to walk in support of both survivors and those fighting breast cancer.

The Albany Pink Walk kicked off at BMW of Albany on Oglethrope Boulevard. More than 400 walkers participated in the event. The event raised more than $33,000 for the Carlton Breast Center at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

"It's really phenomenal to me to hear some of the stories from these survivors and then see some of these men that come and walk to support their wives and children that come and walk with their moms, so I think the best thing is the blessing that we got out of all of it," said Karen Smith.

This is the second year for the walk.
