ALBANY, GA - (WALB) -

Renetta Rendell fielded calls late Thursday night and much of Friday from people who wanted to help her and her family following the fire that destroyed their rented home.

"I feel really blessed," Rendell said. "I don't know it kind of brings tears to my eyes."

Tina Collins and her coworkers at Statewide Healthcare in Albany donated pampers and cash this afternoon.

"I saw the story on the news last night and my heart immediately went out to Ms. Rendell and her family," Collins said. "I felt real sorry and I felt like there is something that I had to do."

Rendell says her children have been asking questions about their old home.

"Right now, we are here currently looking," Rendell said. "Hopefully we will find something soon."

Her landlords say they hope to find a place for her to stay soon, but right now they do not have anything available.

If you would like to help, you can contact (229) 403-1228.
