Police release names of married couple who died in Dougherty Co. crash

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Dougherty County Police have released the names of the couple who died in a crash Thursday morning.

Officials said Laszlo Gribacs, and his wife, Doris died after their Buick Lucerne collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee on Clark Avenue.

Crews at the scene said the Jeep was traveling east on Clark Avenue and hit the Buick that was traveling north on Hill Road. According to a report, Laszlo Gribacs pulled into the intersection after stopping at a stop sign.

Police said they were both in their 80's. Laszlo Gribacs died from injuries Thursday, and Doris Gribacs died from injuries later that night.

The passengers of the Jeep, Gerald White and Carol White, were also injured in the crash. Their conditions were not immediately available.
