'Big Fifty' sentenced to 30 years in cocaine distribution case

MACON, GA (WALB) -

Bobby Charles Taylor, aka "Big Fifty" of Leary, GA was sentenced Wednesday to serve 30 years imprisonment in a case of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute millions of dollars in cocaine.

Taylor, 38, was convicted of the crime in federal court on September 5th. Testimony at the trial revealed that he was involved in a large-scale cocaine and crack cocaine distribution organization responsible for the distribution of more than 750 kilograms of cocaine.

There is no parole for those convicted and sentenced in federal courts. The sentence was handed down by Judge W. Louis Sands in Albany.
